SeaLink Standby Process for Waiheke Residents:
- If the vessel is full and you do not have a ticket for this sailing, you will join the standby queue and board the sailing only if a space opens up and at the Skipper’s and Customer Care team's discretion. A space can only be confirmed 15 minutes prior to departure.
- If a vessel has space, and you do not have a ticket for that next sailing, you book with our customer care team as usual at the ticket office.
- If you already have a ticket for a later sailing and want to board an earlier sailing where there is space, you must produce a valid SeaLink Waiheke Resident Membership Card to avoid the change fee.
12. Changes to a booking can be made online without any additional cost. Any changes made through a SeaLink ticket office or the SeaLink call centre will incur change fee, plus the cost of any applicable upgrade to a standard or higher value fare.
13. If any Waiheke Residents fares booking is cancelled not less than one hour prior to the booked sailing time the fare can be held in credit, less a $20 administration fee, for future travel (valid up to a maximum of 6 months). Cancellations after that time will result in the full fare being charged. A SeaLink Waiheke Resident Card Holder can only be issued with a maximum of two credits per calendar month, after which, any cancellations will be refunded as per clause 2.4 (Cancellation for passengers and / or vehicles up to 5.9 metres in length) of SeaLink’s general terms and conditions. Clause 2.10 (Making changes to your bookings during Covid-19 restrictions) of SeaLink’s general terms and conditions will continue to apply.

If any Waiheke Resident fares terms and conditions are breached by the customer more than once, SeaLink reserves the right to deny the purchase of any Waiheke Resident fares by the customer (and any other fares generally available exclusively to Waiheke Island residents) and require that any future fares are purchased at standard rates.
