Spring has almost sprung which means Father’s Day is on the horizon. What better way to treat dad than to take a

kids of all ages, and we’ve made it a little bit easier with 25% off selected sailings on Father’s Day weekend!

Family fun: For dads with younger kids, there are lots of options on the island for a fun filled day. Take the car and head over to Stony Batter. Fort Stony Batter is a WWII Coastal Defence Fortress at the eastern end of Waiheke Island. It’s a 35-minute drive from the SeaLink terminal to explore 1.2km’s of subterranean passages all tunnelled by hand. After a journey into the past, celebrate the present with and Island Gelato in Oneroa and maybe a spot of lunch at Wild Estate where there is a fantastic playground for the kids.
Something for teenagers: It can be hard to get teenagers to
get excited about anything to do with parents but how about
a horse trek with dad on Father’s Day. A horse trek with
Waiheke Horse Tours is a great way to explore off the
beaten track areas with stunning scenery. Dad can relive
childhood dreams of being a cowboy and make great
memories with even the angstiest of teens. A bit of
wholesome bonding time with the promise of great
content for SnapChat.
Older kids: Dad enjoy the finer things in life? Fancies himself a bit of a whisky aficionado? The Heke and Dr Mark Izzard, founder of Waiheke Whisky, will be hosting a special in-depth, whisky masterclass in their brand-new Boilermaker Bar.
Gather round the bar on Father’s Day at 11 am or 2pm, while Mark pours whisky tastings, telling the story behind each. Mark will share some distillery-only drams and you'll get to try some of the new make spirit fresh off the stills that week. Tickets are $60 per person.
