Keeping Rakino connected
Tucked away in the Hauraki Gulf, Rakino Island is one of Auckland’s best-kept secrets. A peaceful escape with golden bays, unspoiled bush, and a close-knit community. With no shops and very few roads, life on Rakino moves at its own pace, making it a truly unique destination.
SeaLink helps keep this special island connected. We run sailings once a month over the summer season, with occasional services in the winter months. These trips are primarily used by residents and commercial operators, providing an essential link for transporting people, vehicles, and supplies.
While this isn’t part of our everyday passenger schedule, each sailing plays an important role in supporting Rakino’s way of life and keeping the island accessible when it matters most.
If you’d like to join us on a sailing or move freight to Rakino, get in touch with our team. Check out our scheduled sailings for the summer season below.
